Day Trip to Historic Annapolis

When: Sunday, June 22, 12:00 - 6:00 p.m. Rain or shine.

After beginning our day with lunch at Joss Café & Sushi Bar, we will head to the William Paca House for a guided tour of the restored 18th century mansion, then stroll on our own through its lovely two-acre formal gardens. Paca, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, was a Maryland governor during the revolutionary period. Our group will meander through colonial streets noting several historic sites en route to the City Dock, where we catch a 40-minute boat tour of the Old Annapolis residential areas and see the banks of the U.S. Naval Academy. Cap off the day with a micro-brew or snack at historic Ram's Head Tavern, which has a patio by the water and its own Bavarian brewery on the premises.

Where: Meet at noon, Joss Café & Sushi Bar, 195 Main Street, Annapolis, MD 21401. Location is not Metro accessible but an 11:00 pickup at New Carrollton Metro Station can be arranged. Contact Stacy if you need a ride from the Metro. If you drive, allow plenty of time to park. Several garages are available in the historic district, or park for $5 at the Navy-Marine Corps Stadium and take the free shuttle into town. Read more about parking options.
